Outreach volunteer — role descriptionWhat this role doesOutreach volunteers help Pet Aid Manitoba reach pet owners who need the program but don't know it exists. The focus is community visibility — social media, local events, and distribution of awareness materials.Specific tasksSocial media support — share Pet Aid Manitoba posts on their own social accounts, comment to boost reach, and flag relevant community conversations (e.g. posts in Winnipeg pet owner Facebook groups where someone mentions vet costs)Community tabling — staff a Pet Aid Manitoba table at local events (farmers markets, adoption fairs, dog-friendly events) — roughly 1–2 times per season when opportunities ariseWord of mouth — personally share the program with people in their network who have petsTime commitmentRoughly 2–4 hours per month. Content and creative volunteer — role descriptionWhat this role doesContent and creative volunteers produce the materials that outreach volunteers use. They keep Pet Aid Manitoba visible and consistent across social media and in the community.Specific tasksSocial media posts — create graphics and captions for Facebook and Instagram (roughly 2–4 posts per month). Content themes: program awareness, pet stories, fundraising appeals, impact updatesPrint materials — design or update flyers, rack cards, and posters for distribution at vet clinics, pet stores, and community spacesTemplates — build reusable templates so future content stays on-brand with minimal effortTime commitmentRoughly 2–4 hours per month, more during launch periods or campaigns.What we're looking forExperience with Canva or basic graphic design toolsComfortable writing short social media copyHas a feel for what resonates with pet ownersReliable — content is needed on a consistent schedule, not just when inspiration strikesWhat's not in this roleManaging the organization's social media accounts directlyReviewing applications or handling any program informationReportingDelivers finished assets to the founder for review and posting.
