Outing Companion

Accompany an individual Resident on an outing as part of a group. All Outings will be lead by 2 staff members for safety. Companion will push a wheelchair and socialize with their assigned Resident. Some outings will be short walks in the community and others will involve riding with the group on a van and then accompanying them on a tour of the area. During the summer the volunteer may choose to take someone outdoors in the backyard for fresh air.

Required Qualifications

willingness to socialize with people. Physical ability to push a wheelchair. Criminal Record Check must be clear and completed within 6 months.
