Opportunity Description:

On Sunday, June 26th we are holding our Ride Don’t Hide cycling event to raise awareness about mental health/illness, fight the stigma, and fundraise for mental health services. There will be 3 rides throughout the morning (see www.ridedonthide.com for more details). This is a fun family event with a child-friendly ride as well so help bring the fun to families! Help out at our Family Fun stations with pre-planned activities led by staff,games, face painting, balloon animals, and more! Let us know if you have any special talents you would like to share (ex: balloon animals, juggling, magic tricks). Event is taking place at Fort Whyte Alive and we are currently working on arranging transportation for volunteers who need it from the Canadian Mental Health Association at 930 Portage Ave. to Fort Whyte Alive and back again. Group volunteer orientations will take place on Tuesday, June 21 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm and Wednesday, June 22 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm (you must attend one of these or make alternate arrangements).
