Terry’s vision unites us and inspires our research excellence, innovation and creativity. Our research institute is a collaboratively oriented, pan-Canadian organization focused on improving cancer research outcomes for the benefit of cancer patients everywhere. Becoming a Terry Fox volunteer is an incredibly rewarding experience.  You will be helping to keep Terry’s message of hope, courage and determination alive and you will be giving back to your community. Our Terry Fox Runs are 100% volunteer run, so we are always on the lookout for passionate Terry Foxers to help us out.

Together Project connects government-assisted refugees and refugee claimants with volunteers to build stronger, more integrated communities in Winnipeg.

Our Welcome Group Program serves newcomers that face significant challenges to successful integration in their new communities. These include language and culture barriers, health issues, unemployment, and the lack of social connections.

Together Project provides a platform for community engagement to address these challenges, ensuring that it both complements the work of existing service providers and is tailored to the needs of individual newcomer families. Volunteers will work to address specific priorities identified by their matched household, through which both newcomers and volunteers will also have an opportunity to get to know each other and build social connections.

Together Project's work is supported by evidence-based program evaluation and research to inform and improve our impact.

This year we are celebrating Canada 150! For 25 years Member of Parliament for Winnipeg North, Kevin Lamoureux, has been hosting Canada Day at Tyndall Park.

The day begins with sports as early as 8:00am.
Music, entertainment, games, dancing and more starting at 6:00pm.
Pizza arrives just before 7:00pm.
The Fireworks go off at 10:35pm!
