Providing a listening ear for their stories and assisting them to go outdoors when weather permits. Reading books, writing letters, going for coffee, and sitting outdoors. Being a friend.

Outing Companion (Outing Companion)

Accompany an individual Resident on an outing as part of a group. All Outings will be lead by 2 staff members for safety. Companion will push a wheelchair and socialize with their assigned Resident. Some outings will be short walks in the community and others will involve riding with the group on a van and then accompanying them on a tour of the area. During the summer the volunteer may choose to take someone outdoors in the backyard for fresh air.
