The Canadian Red Cross also contributes to international disaster responses by raising funds, as well as deploying resources and trained aid workers to support the local Red Cross.
<u>Capacity building</u>: The Canadian Red Cross also actively helps communities prepare for and reduce the impact of disasters before they happen by working with both governments and individuals to ensure they’re ready when the time comes.

<u>Prevention and Safety</u>: Through first aid training and water safety programming, the Canadian Red Cross helps Canadians be better equipped to prevent and treat injuries at home and in the workplace, as well as how to be safe in and around the water.
<u>Respect Education</u>: The Canadian Red Cross has programs and tools to help prevent violence, harassment and bullying, and to promote healthy relationships.
<u>Community Health Services</u>: The Canadian Red Cross is a leader in supporting Canadians to remain living in their homes safely and with dignity through innovative and compassionate community health services. A wide range of community support services are offered by the Red Cross to provide daily supports to older adults, vulnerable people, and their caregivers.

Housing: To provide safe and affordable transitional housing to low-income newcomer families in their 1st three years of living in Canada. Programming: To connect people with quality and accessible programs that support participants and community members to gain the tools they need to integrate and settle into Winnipeg life. Our programs will consistently aim to fill gaps and build partnerships with others working in the community and settlement sectors.
Be agents of change: Help to facilitate systematic change by engaging the public and policy makers to better understand newcomer issues, while highlighting the stories and voices of newcomers with the goal of achieving wider societal change.
Build Community: Create and support a community within and beyond IRCOM where individuals feel safe, loved, cared for, welcome, supported, respected and included.

Under restorative justice diversion MS receives between 300 – 500 court referrals from the crown and Winnipeg Police. MS </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">facilitates</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0"> the coming together of the person who did harm and the person who experienced harm using restorative principles to address harm and restore relationships. We are a wildlife rehabilitation centre that is primarily run by volunteers. We help injured, sick and orphaned wildlife in hopes of returning them to nature. We also have a hard working education team that works to help educate people of all ages about Manitoba wildlife.
Thrift store run primarily by volunteers selling high quality donated clothing at affordable prices. We service the addiction and mental health community as well as those facing barriers to employment. We offer on site mentorship and support while providing work experience.
