Mediation Services

Namely, </span></span><span class="TextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0" lang="EN-CA" xml:lang="EN-CA" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">(1) community mediation, (2) family mediation, (3) restorative justice diversion and (4) training</span></span><span class="TextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0" lang="EN-CA" xml:lang="EN-CA" data-contrast="none"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">.  </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">Under community mediation, MS offers </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">neutral, third-party support for </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">families, </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">neighbours</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0"> and </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">non-profit </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">workplaces in addressing challenges in relationships </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">using the principles of restorative justice.</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0"> Under family mediation, MS </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">provides</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0"> conflict engagement </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">coaching </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">and mediation between separated/ divorced partners and help</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">s</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0"> them to make decisions that are best for themselves and their children. Under restorative justice diversion MS receives between 300 – 500 court referrals from the crown and Winnipeg Police. MS </span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">facilitates</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0"> the coming together of the person who did harm and the person who experienced harm using restorative principles to address harm and restore relationships. Finally, the training pillar of MS acts as a social enterprise and support</span><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW214479474 BCX0">s conflict engagement and mediation skill-building as well as practise opportunities and coaching for individuals and groups.</span></span><span class="EOP SCXW214479474 BCX0"> </span>
