The Manitoba Chapter of the Ovarian Cancer Society holds a fundraising walk annually in September.  We are seeking volunteers for the event.

2026 Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships 15 Member nations competing in these championships over 10 days in Winnipeg.

YRES is a Charitable Not-for-Profit Organization that uses the help of community partners in order to carry out a variety of ever-expanding Educational Services. Our volunteers come from diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnicities. YRES has many opportunities for volunteers as we are always expanding our programs. The mission of York Region Educational Services is to provide individuals in the vicinity of the York Region with educational resources in a safe and supporting environment that inspires, motivates and helps set the foundation for personal growth.

F.A.C.E.S. empowers youth by fostering a community of support. Our network seeks to instill young people with confidence in their unique identities and abilities, while providing safe environments to learn and grow. Our primary objective is the healthy growth and development of every young person who comes through our doors. We aim to address the unique individual needs of youth in our community. Whether those needs are to develop social skills, life skills, work skills, or self-esteem, we work with each youth where they are at. This is done by applying a collective, unified approach to all our programs and services that inspires youth empowerment. We are a non-profit governed by a volunteer board of directors, and our programs and services are designed and delivered by dedicated professionals. Engagement of caring community volunteers, partners and supporters helps us to accomplish our mandate. Without them, none of this would be possible. It is our hope that those who complete our programs will in turn “pay it forward” by returning to volunteer and become role models and mentors for other participants.

The Barefoot Ranch is a non-profit organization that exists to relieve the suffering of equine which includes raising funds for and assisting in providing facilities for the care, maintenance and rehabilitation of such animals. We have been helping horses in the Interlake since 2012. We care for them and provide them with food, clean water, shelter, vet services and hoof trimming. We also socialize them and teach them that people can be trusted.

Take a Pain Check Foundation is a Canadian registered, international youth-led community and non-profit organization founded in self-advocacy to empower youth with rheumatic diseases. They host bi-weekly podcasts, run ambassador programs for health professionals and youth, pilot rheumatic-related events, feature stories on their blog platform and lead monthly Joint Chat Rheum hangouts. Our Mission:  Take a Pain Check’s aims to empower youth and young adults impacted by rheumatic disease to advocate for themselves and to create a supportive, safe, and inclusive community where individuals feel understood. ​Our Vision: Through this youth led initiative our vision is that all youth and young adults feel supported in their journey with rheumatic illness.

Parkinson Canada is the definitive voice for the Parkinson’s community in Canada. Our purpose is to transform the lives of people living with Parkinson’s. We do this through research leading to better treatments and the end of Parkinson’s, advocacy bringing the voices of Parkinson’s to the forefront and support that helps people live well with Parkinson’s through education and services. A national registered charity, Parkinson Canada operates through the generosity of donors and is an accredited organization under the Imagine Canada Standards Program.

Together Project connects government-assisted refugees and refugee claimants with volunteers to build stronger, more integrated communities in Winnipeg. Our Welcome Group Program serves newcomers that face significant challenges to successful integration in their new communities. These include language and culture barriers, health issues, unemployment, and the lack of social connections. Together Project provides a platform for community engagement to address these challenges, ensuring that it both complements the work of existing service providers and is tailored to the needs of individual newcomer families. Volunteers will work to address specific priorities identified by their matched household, through which both newcomers and volunteers will also have an opportunity to get to know each other and build social connections. Together Project's work is supported by evidence-based program evaluation and research to inform and improve our impact. Together Project is a charitable initiative of the MakeWay Shared Platform.

Fighting Blindness Canada (FBC) is the largest charitable funder of vision research in Canada. Over our 50-year history, FBC has contributed critical funding for the development of sight-saving treatments and cures for blinding eye diseases. By raising and stewarding funds, FBC is helping drive forward research that supports our goal of understanding why vision loss occurs, how it can be slowed and how sight can be restored. We are an invaluable resource for individuals and families impacted by blindness, providing accurate eye health information through our website and educational events, as well as engaging with government and other stakeholders to advance better vision health policies.
